Garden Fort Project: Day 4
"Green Thumb Eli". A fitting addition to our garden fort, not only because it relates to gardening, but the word “thumb” seems to be used a lot at our house lately (thumb-sucking is a hard habit for a toddler to break!). To keep Eli’s little hands busy, we added a playful design and cute critters to the fort this week.
Eli and his dad had fun tracing each of their “thumbs-up” to provide us with some design inspiration. We used colored tape for the art.
We collected various items to use for our critters: a mail flyer, a page from an old magazine, a greeting card, and a paper bag. They were cut out, Eli glued them and we added them to the fort. He was sure to point out that we are missing a snake (and a dinosaur…)! So we’ll be adding one, a snake that is, along with the fruits and vegetables that we have been waiting so patiently to grow…
We are almost done! Stay tuned next week for our final Garden Fort blog post. -Lindsey
